Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana June 2018| Application Forms Details| Eligibility Criteria- The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has been the talk of the town since it was introduced by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 1 June 2015. The Scheme is an initiative provided by the Government of India which aims at providing affordable housing to the urban poor. The mission of this initiative is to provide housing for all by the year 2022. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme, aimed at developing cities and towns in India, will entail an investment of over Rs. 3 lakh crore in the next five years from 2015. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, those belonging to the poor, lower middle and middle classes in cities will be eligible to 4 cent discount on housing loans up to Rs 9 lakh.
The smart city housing project will draw around Rs.48,000 Crore in central grants over five Years from 2014 to 2019.AMRUT project will draw Rs.50000 crore from central grants in five years. All the poor people in urban areas can apply online for PMAY Urban Housing Scheme while the poor people in the rural areas are selected by SECC 2011 data under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
